HOW TO PREPARE
Mixing Instructions
- Place the sealed activation packet into your mixing bottle (do not open or cut it).
- Fill with purified or distilled water to the exact amount listed on the activation packet (16 oz, 32 oz, etc.).
- Close, shake, and let sit for 1 minute.
- Pour the solution into your spray bottles.
Good to Know
- Each activation packet is single use.
- You can leave the used packet in the mixing bottle until you’re ready to make a new batch; then empty the bottle, remove, and discard the packet before adding a new one.
HOW TO APPLY
For best results, apply to clean, debris-free skin.
- Wipe away dirt, sweat, or debris before applying.
- Spray generously — the area should be visibly wet.
- You may gently rub in to ensure even coverage (especially for hands).
- Allow to air dry. Do not wipe off.
- As it dries, the solution is actively killing germs and odor-causing bacteria.
- Reapply as needed. Safe for multiple uses throughout the day.
For Facial Use -
- Apply to a clean face, neck, and décolleté for maximum benefit.
- Allow to dry completely before layering serums, Vitamin C, retinoids, or moisturizers.
CARE & STORAGE
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
- Once mixed, keep in an opaque bottle.
- Store at room temperature (60–80°F).
- For consistent performance, refresh your solution within the recommended timeframe.
Bottle Care
- For best results, use River Refresh bottles designed for proper storage and protection from light.
- Do not reuse bottles that previously contained other cleaners, chemicals, or personal care products, as residue may affect stability and performance.
- Clean the spray nozzle periodically to prevent buildup or clogging.
- Do not freeze or expose to extreme heat.

Why Fresh Activation Matters
Each Activation Packet™ is formulated to create Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) at its intended concentration (ppm) and pH when mixed with purified or distilled water.
HOCl naturally degrades with exposure to light, heat, air, and water quality. By activating it yourself, you control when it’s made and how it’s stored.
Fresh activation helps ensure:

When mixed and stored in opaque bottles away from heat and direct sunlight, the solution is expected to maintain strength close to its published concentration for at least 45 days. After that, natural degradation continues and concentration will gradually decline — which is why we recommend refreshing your solution regularly for consistent performance.
When It’s Wet, It’s Working™
Hypochlorous Acid gets to work on contact. Spray generously and let it air dry — there’s no need to wipe it away. As long as the surface remains visibly wet, the solution is actively interacting with germs and odor-causing bacteria.
It leaves no residue and is non-toxic, making it safe for everyday use around kids and pets.
