How It Works

Choose your gift card amount.
Send To: Select "My Email" for immediate delivery or "Recipient's Email" to send a gift.
Add the recipient's name and a personalized message (optional).
Send On (optional): Leave blank for immediate delivery or select a future date when gifting.
Review your gift card details in the cart and complete checkout.

When gifting, both sender and recipient receive email notifications. Your recipient receives a unique gift card code on the selected delivery date, which they can apply toward their purchase at checkout.

Do River Refresh gift cards expire?

No. River Refresh gift cards have no expiration date. Any unused balance remains available for future purchases.

How does someone redeem a gift card?

Enter the unique gift card code in the discount or gift card field at checkout and select "Apply." The available balance applies toward the entire order, including products, shipping and applicable taxes.

If the order exceeds the gift card balance, the remaining amount can be paid using another accepted payment method or another gift card. If the order costs less, the unused balance remains available for future purchases.

Can I schedule a gift card for a future date?

Yes. Select your preferred delivery date when entering the recipient's information. Your gift card will be emailed on the selected date, but the exact delivery time is not guaranteed.

The gift card code becomes active immediately after purchase, so avoid sharing your confirmation email early if you want to keep the gift a surprise.

Can I purchase multiple gift cards in one order?

Yes. Add each gift card separately, choosing its amount, recipient, message and delivery date. You can purchase multiple gift cards in one transaction, each with its own delivery details.

Can I use a gift card with discounts or promotions?

Yes. Eligible discounts and promotions can be applied to purchases paid for with a gift card. Promotional discount codes cannot be used to purchase River Refresh gift cards unless specifically stated in the offer.

What if I lose my gift card email?

First, check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find it, contact us through our Say Hello page with your order number, recipient email address or purchaser's name. We'll help locate your gift card and resend the notification.

Are there any fees for purchasing or using a gift card?

No. There are no activation, service or redemption fees. Gift cards are delivered digitally, so there are no shipping charges for the gift card itself. The full purchased value is available for redemption.

Can I get a refund for a gift card purchase?

No. River Refresh gift card purchases are final sale and nonrefundable. Please review our Refund Policy for additional details.

Can I use a gift card to purchase another gift card?

No. River Refresh gift cards can be used toward eligible products and associated checkout charges, but cannot be used to purchase another gift card.

Do gift cards expire? +

No. Your gift card remains active and available as long as funds are available.

How do I send a gift card to someone? +

Go to the Gift Card product then

Select the value of the card you want to purchase (30, 60, 80, 100 or 125 are the options)
Select Send to "Recipient's Emai" and you're required to enter the Recipient's Email, otherwise the Gift Card will be sent to your email, and you can manually end to someone.
If you select "Recipient's Email" you're prompted to enter their name and a personalize comment - this appears on the email that is sent to them
Select a date you want it sent - it's defaulted to immediate unless you enter a different date

Once you complete the purchase a few things happen.

You receive an email confirming you sent the Gift Card
Your recipient will receive a similar email immediately unless you selected a future date.
The email comes from marc@riverrefresh.com
The email includes the digital code they enter in the discount field for the funds to be applied to their purchase.

How does the recipient use their gift card? +

The recipient enters the unique gift card code at checkout in the Discount field and hits Apply. If the gift card doesn't cover the full order, they can pay the remaining balance with another payment method or combine it with another gift card. f the gift card is more than their purchase the balance remains on their gift card for future use. The gift card code can be used as long as there are available funds on it.

Can I schedule a gift card for a future date? +

You can choose a specific date for the gift card to be emailed to the recipient. It will be sent between 4:00 am–10:00 am in your time zone on that date.

You, the purchaser, will receive an immediate notification of what the user will receive on their expected date - including the value, personal note and gift card code. The gift card code becomes active immediately after purchase, so if you share your confirmation email early, the recipient can use it right away.

Can I buy multiple gift cards in one transaction? +

Yes! You can purchase multiple gift cards in a single transaction each with its own recipient, value, message and delivery date.

How it works:

Add your first gift card to the cart with the recipient's details, custom message, and delivery date.
Return to the Gift Card product page and create another — entering a different value, recipient, message, and date.
Repeat as needed for additional recipients.

At checkout, each gift card will appear as a separate line item showing the recipient name, message, and scheduled delivery date. Once your purchase is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email for each gift card you purchased.

What happens if my order total is more or less than the gift card balance? +

If your order total is less than the gift card balance, the remaining balance stays on the gift card and can be used on future orders.

If your order total exceeds the gift card balance, you will be prompted at checkout to provide a form of payment for the difference.

Can a gift card be used more than once? +

Yes! If there's a remaining balance after a purchase, it stays on the gift card for future orders until the full value is used.

Can I use a River Refresh gift card with a discount code or promotion? +

River Refresh gift cards cannot be purchased using a discount or promotional code.

However, when you use a gift card to purchase other River Refresh products, eligible discounts and promotions can still be applied to that order at checkout.
